Original Medicare Hospital Insurance Part A
The Part A hospital insurance, part of Original Medicare coverage, helps finance:

- skilled nursing facility access
- hospice care
- and a degree of home healthcare.
Any applicants who are 65 years of age or older are considered eligible for the Part A plan. Those who either personally pay or have spouses who pay Medicare taxes while working are exempt from premiums for the Part A plan.
Part B: Original Medicare Medical Insurance
The Part B Medical insurance covers medical services, outpatient care, and medical items. With the Part B plan, 80% of all approved charges are covered. Thus, leaving the beneficiary with only 20% of approved charges to finance. Before Medicare will make the benefits accessible, Part B policy will have to satisfy a deductible and pay a monthly premium.
Part C: Medicare Advantage
The Part C Medicare Advantage plan is a combination of both the Part A and Part B Original Medicare terms into one plan. Though the Part C plan is categorized as part of the government Medicare program, they are offered through private insurers.
