Kimberly Knorr Memorial Celebrity Golf Tournament
Before she passed away at 45 years young, Kimberly Knorr was the President of Wheelchairs 4 Kids. Her Husband, Randy Knorr, has stepped into her shoes by helping carry on her legacy. Mr. Knorr will be on our board, chairing the 4th annual Kimberly Knorr Memorial Celebrity Golf Tournament.
There are great vendors, the tournament is incredible, and you’re helping some incredible children when you participate.
Wheely Fun Par-Tee
Wheelchairs 4 Kids is an organization that is dedicating time and resources to helping children with physical disabilities. The Golf Benefit will take place on January 24, 2019, at the Cypress Run Golf Club.
Participants will have a chance to golf with some favorite sports stars, all while supporting Wheelchairs 4 kids.
This Golf Tournament allows you to register online and includes a silent auction with mobile bidding. (They can’t take a day of registration as all teams, carts, and celebrities need to be pre-assigned). Sonny’s BBQ is bringing lunch and Tito’s is bringing the vodka.
While we’re having fun, playing golf, and enjoying the Sunshine State winter; it’s important that we remember Kimberly Knorr by carrying on her legacy. These great kids are in need, by being at the tournament, you’re making a better life possible for them.
Wheelchairs 4 Kids and Community Support
This organization consistently engages with the community for sponsorship. The Kimberly Knorr Memorial Celebrity Golf tournament is just one of the many ways Wheelchairs 4 Kids works to get children the proper equipment.
Back in November, Columbia Restaurant Community Harvest took place. This allowed guests to donate 5% of their check to the non-profit organization. This program has generated over $2 million to the organizations in Florida.
The Wheely Good Time fundraiser received sponsoring from Elite Insurance Partners and MedicareFAQ.
Wheelchairs 4 Kids is responsible for creating Guardians of the Wheel Kids Club, this allows community members a chance to give a small amount monthly to improve the lives of the physically disabled children.
When you choose to join the Guardians of the Wheel Kids Club, your monthly contribution goes to the equipment needed for these kids. Equipment includes vehicle and home modifications, as well as wheelchairs.
By joining, you receive a quarterly newsletter with updates on the children. You even get an annual calendar featuring pictures of all the little ones you were helping.

Children and their families have been sharing heartfelt testimonies for this organization. Wheelchairs might seem like an accessible commodity, that’s not usually the case. When you support Wheelchairs 4 Kids, you’re giving kids the confidence needed in life.
The Need for Wheels
Children grow so fast, sometimes faster than the insurance company can approve a claim for a proper device. Sometimes, the child outgrows the wheelchair before they’re eligible to apply for a new device.
It’s common for a child to have a wheelchair that isn’t meeting their needs. This can cause serious health problems like respiratory issues, scoliosis, and pressure sores.
Imagine needing to lift teen out of, or into a bath, without any assistive device or modified bathroom. Trying to care for a physically disabled child without the proper device is the reality for most families.
Wheelchairs 4 Kids goes above and beyond by addressing more than the wheelchair issue and making solutions out of problems.
By signing up for the Kimberly Knorr Memorial Golf Tournament you’re helping the community. Plus, this is supposed to be one of the greatest Golf Tournaments in the bay area!
The Cypress Run Golf Club is a beautiful, 18-hole course that can accommodate all levels of play. This course has been described as the most playable golf course in Tampa Bay.
So, while you’re enjoying the day with Tito’s and Sonny’s on the stunning green, thank Wheelchairs 4 Kids. They’re making moves that benefit the whole community.
